With this result, Spain are through to the last four of the tournament.
Spain clinched their quarter final spot after winning against Switzerland 5-1, while Netherlands made it to the last eight after beating South Africa 2-0.
Next, Spain will play against Sweden who discomfited Japan by two goals to one in the other quarter final encounter of today, Friday 11 August, 2023.
Spain and Sweden will lock horns in the last four of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on Tuesday in Auckland.
