FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023: Spain V England – ‘I’ll be there watching the final’ – Guardiola

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, has said, “I’ll be there watching the final” of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will be played between Spain and England at the Stadium Australia in Australia on Sunday 20 August, 2023.

The Spaniard said, the Lionesses have made an “incredible contribution” in the tournament.

Guardiola said: “It’s the greatest notice for the future of the women and girls generation of football. I think they have arrived to stay.


“What they have done since the United States of America with many [players such as] Megan Rapinoe and important figures there demanding the position in world football that they deserve to be.


“I can imagine girls seeing Russo, Bronze and all the fantastic women playing football and they can dream to play there. It’s really important and they’ve made an incredible contribution. I will be there on Sunday morning at 11am watching the final.


““It’s really good. They make an incredible contribution for the future of women’s football. Hopefully it will be a good final. Hopefully the best will win. I will be there Sunday morning at 11 watching the final.”
