Spain defeated England 1-0 in the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 at Stadium Australia in Australia on Sunday 20 August, 2023 to lift the trophy.

This is the first time ever Spain is winning the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Olga Carmona, Captain of Spain, scored for the La Roja in the 29th minute, and England goalkeeper, Mary Earps, saved Jennifer Hermoso’s second half spot kick.
