It was a task for the visitors as they fought hard to clinch their first triumph of the new season in the encounter against the defending champions.
Luis Alberto opened scoring for Lazio in the 30th minute, and Piotr Zielinski levelled for the Partenopei two minutes later.
Determined to clinch their first three points of the season, Maurizio Sarri’s men netted the winner through Daichi Kamada in the 52nd minute.
It was Napoli’s first defeat of the Serie A 2023/24 season.
