The 16th Headies Award event took place in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, United States (US) on Sunday 3 September, 2023.
Ayra Starr gave her reason why she will never express her gratitude despite clinching the ‘Best Female Artist’ prize at the Headies Award 2023 event in the US.
The ‘Rush’ crooner said, the award organizers did not deem it fit to announce the category on stage, and on that ground no gratitude – “I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage !”
Ayra Starr said: “I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage ! Best female artist na beans ? We work hard, every single one of us ! I’ve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night , Tems breaths and lives for music , we didn’t deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria , you didn’t raise me to settle for less”.
