The petition of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), alongside its 2023 Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar alleging that President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu possesses dual citizenship, has been struck out by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) on Wednesday 6 September, 2023.
Justice Stephen Adah who assumed control from Justice Haruna Tsammani, following a review of the evidence and documents tendered, struck out the evidence of some Atiku’s witnesses on the grounds that their witness statements on oath were not filed together with his petition.
The Court went ahead to eliminate thirty-seven (37) exhibits tendered by the witnesses from the Court’s records.
