Attack On Israel: ‘US working with governments to ease humanitarian consequences of Hamas’s attack and upholding of law of war’ – President Biden

United States (US) President, Joe Biden, said, the “U.S. is working with the governments of Israel, Egypt, and UN to ease the humanitarian consequences of Hamas’s attack and advocate for the upholding of the law of war”.

The fighting between Hamas and Israel has led to huge number of deaths both in Israel and Gaza.

The surprise attack by Hamas on Israel in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023 ignited the fighting between both sides.

The US President described Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel which resulted to killing of many Israelis and several others taken hostage as “sheer evil”, assuring Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, of America’s “rock solid support” as they fight to defend their country.

President Biden said: “The U.S. is working with the governments of Israel, Egypt, Jordan — and with the UN — to surge support to ease the humanitarian consequences of Hamas’s attack, create conditions needed to resume the flow of assistance, and advocate for the upholding of the law of war.”
