The President added, “The 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem is a symbol of remembrance and a beacon of hope for a peaceful future.”
The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is a special day dedicated, celebrated and observed on January 15 annually, to honour the servicemen of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
President Tinubu said: “The 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem is a symbol of remembrance and a beacon of hope for a peaceful future. It is also our humble way of appreciating our veterans and the families of their fallen colleagues.
“Men and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria remain committed to the daunting yet vital task of conserving security in Nigeria.
“It, therefore, falls on us, as a people, to honour our veterans and also the memory of the valiant officers, men and women who paid the supreme sacrifice, and to provide a decent and humane standard of care for all who have served our dear Nigeria.
“The sacrifices of our heroes shall never be forgotten.”
