Former Minister of Education, Obiageli ‘Oby’ Ezekwesili, has come out to plead with Nigerians to not lose hope after the Supreme Court’s verdict.

The Supreme Court affirmed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Thursday 26 October, 2023 after dismissing appeals by the 2023 Presidential candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
She said, “It is okay to feel exhausted but please do not despair.”
Ezekwesili said: “I am beyond proud of all Citizens from across Nigeria who stood on to the end of this last constitutional phase of the electoral processes.
“You are solid proof that Nigeria does have a Remnant among our diverse population who are prepared to sacrifice their time, knowledge and resources to birth a Good and Just Society.
“As one who wishes every day for Nigeria to Become, I am grateful to you all for staying true to your conviction.
“Please do not despair. It is okay to feel exhausted but please do not despair.
“You were the Best of us all the way.
“May your Tribe increase!”
