Rufai Oseni is a tv host on Arise TV. He went on to say, “It’s best we fix our dwindling economy and this slide into the abyss of economic destruction needs to stop”.

He added, “PZ had been operating in Nigeria before Nigeria was formed…since 1884.”

According to Rufai Oseni:

PZ delisting from the stock exchange is another sad one. I remember how people kept on defending the government when Dunlop left, Do you know how many families never recovered??? Till date, since Dunlop and Michelin left,Nigerians have now resorted to buying unsafe tyres. Do you know how many advert agencies suffered from the loss of Dunlop adverts?,do you know how many will suffer from the loss of PZ. It’s best we fix our dwindling economy and this slide into the abyss of economic destruction needs to stop. Till date,we are waiting for the 10billion dollars they promised to use in defending the Naira. The disposable income is so bad, the currency of Benin Republic is now stronger than ours. It must be said, some little bright spots doesn’t erase the economic malaise like some spin doctors will offer, the 50m dollars Ion water plant in Ogun doesn’t erase the over billions of dollars invested in PZ, P&G, Sanofi and other firms over the years. It is delusional to say tech firms are listing and that should be all, every economy thrives on a robust consumer goods sector, Nigeria needs to full complement of productivity across all sectors of the economy.

History lesson: In the 70s, Adebowale Industries went into production of Refrigerators and other electronic items, his business died in no time due to bad governance, just imagine if his business was supported and govt fought dumping and other economic problems probably we will still have DEBO fridges today, The problem has always been government and that is why election matters. We once had made in Nigeria refrigerators but government killed it due to bad policies.

SideBar: PZ had been operating in Nigeria before Nigeria was formed, it started trading in the WestAfrican Coast since 1884.
