The Canadian PM added, “but Canada will be ready with a national response if we need one.”
Trudeau’s statement is coming after incoming US President, Donald Trump, announced, the creation of External Revenue Service (ERS) “to collect tariffs, duties and all revenue that come from foreign sources”.
According to PM Trudeau: “No one wants to see U.S. tariffs imposed on our goods. But Canada will be ready with a national response if we need one.
We’ve brought leaders in business, labour, and policy to the table. People from different fields, parties, and parts of the country — all on Team Canada.”
