Nigeria made light work of neighbours, Benin, in the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier on Saturday evening.

The Super Eagles welcomed the Cheetahs at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium and clinched a 3-0 comfortable victory to kick start their qualification to the AFCON 2025.

Atalanta star, Ademola Lookman, netted a brace for Coach Augustine Eguavoen’s side in the 45+2 and 83rd minutes.

Substitute Victor Osimhen, who just moved to Turkish Süper Lig club, Galatasaray, scored Nigeria’s second in the 75th minute.

Next for the Super Eagles is Rwanda.

Rwanda will host Nigeria at the multipurpose Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Tuesday 10 September, 2024 at 14:00 (WAT).
