Grafström wrote: ““Today we respect the memory and the many achievements of Sven-Göran Eriksson, who played such a pivotal role in advancing Swedish football on an international level.
“Svennis was a true football gentleman, a role model for all of us, filled with kindness and empathy. He was also a pioneer in coaching and travelled around the world to live his passion for football and making his players better.
“Respected across the world, his later career would see him switch between coaching national teams and clubs, but always with determination and a smile in equal measure. He coached as he lived his life, and he will be sorely missed. Today, he would have wanted us to celebrate life so this is what we should and will do. Cheers and farewell beloved Sven!””
