He expressed gratitude to “brother” Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, and disclosed, the contract was awarded to Craneburg Construction Company for the first phase of the upgrade.
The Governor added, “the airport upgrade will improve the ease of doing business” in the Southwestern State.
According to Governor Makinde: “Grateful to my brother, H. E. @AAdeleke_01 who joined us today as we flagged off the upgrade of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan. The contract for the first phase of the upgrade was awarded to Craneburg Construction Company and the duration of the upgrade is eighteen months, though I have informed the contractors that we will be pushing for it to be completed within a year.
“As I said in my remarks during the ceremony, this project is necessary for long-term prosperity as it will connect Oyo State to global markets. The airport upgrade will improve the ease of doing business, bringing investments into agribusiness, manufacturing, and technology sectors, positioning Ibadan as a regional business hub.”
