There was no goal in the first 45 minutes until the 48th minute when R. Baba gifted Galatasaray its first goal in the 48th minute after hitting the back of his own net, however, the Greek side levelled in the 67th minute through G. Konstantelias.
The hosts took the lead again in the 76th minute through Y. Akgün after converting Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen’s assist, and Mauro Icardi sealed victory for Gala with the third in the 5th minute of additional time.
