Tensions in the region continue to heighten following Israel’s multi-front wars against Palestinian fighters, known as, Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The Spanish PM said, “We will continue to raise our voice in defence of peace and against those who seek to establish a new order based on force.”
PM Sanchez said: “Spain will not sit idly by in the face of the situation in the Middle East.
To do so, as some intend, would not only be unforgivable, morally and politically. It would call into question the essence of the European project and the principles of international law and international humanitarian law.
And we are not willing to do that.
We will continue to raise our voice in defence of peace and against those who seek to establish a new order based on force.”
