Norway V England: Legend Beckham joins Three Lions in training in Miami

Sir David Beckham, England Legend, joined the Three Lions in training on Friday 10 July, 2026 in Miami, Florida.

Thomas Tuchel’s England are preparing for their FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter final match against Norway on Saturday 11 July, 2026. The contest is scheduled to take place at Miami Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, United States (US) at 22:00 (WAT).

England posted on X: “England legend Sir David Beckham joins us at training this afternoon in Miami

“Good to see you, Sir David!”

Captain of the Three Lions, Harry Kane, said ahead of the match, the team aims to make their fans “proud” when they play against the Vikings on Saturday night.

The Three Lions reached the quarter finals of the tournament following a 3-2 victory over co-hosts, Mexico, in the Round of 16 on Monday in Mexico City, Mexico, while, Norway scaled through after dumping out five-time World Cup Winners, Brazil, with a 2-1 victory on Sunday in New York, US.

Via X, Kane said: “Those moments are special with fans. The fans are what make us and have the desire that we do. We want to make them proud.

“We need to show the best version of ourselves.”

The Three Lions had their training on Friday afternoon at Inter Miami’s complex in Fort Lauderdale, Miami. Inter Miami, a Major League Soccer (MLS) Club, is co-owned by Sir David Beckham.

Beckham played for the England Senior National Team as a midfielder from 1996 to 2009, and recorded more than 100 appearances for the Three Lions.

The London-Born is known for his pass accuracy, set-piece taking and crossing prowess. He is regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his time, and one of the best set-piece experts of all time.

Beckham won League titles in four (4) different countries – England, France, Spain and the United States (US).
