Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has expressed his felicitations to William Folorunso Kumuyi as the Pastor marked his 85th birthday on Saturday 6 June, 2026.
Obi said, Pastor Kumuyi, Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has “exemplified unwavering commitment to the Gospel” for tens of years, “inspiring and transforming” so many lives across Nations.
Taking to X to celebrate the Pastor, Obi, who is the Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 Elections, described Kumuyi as a “faithful father”.
Obi wrote: “A Faithful Father in the Faith at 85
“On behalf of my family, I join millions of believers and well-wishers across the world in celebrating your 85th birthday, Papa Kumuyi.
“For decades, you have exemplified integrity, humility, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel. Through your teachings, leadership, and personal example, you have inspired and transformed countless lives across generations and nations.”
The former African Democratic Congress (ADC) member prayed “good health and greater wisdom” for Pastor Kumuyi, adding, may the “light” of the convener of Global Crusade with Kumuyi “continue to shine brightly”.
Obi further wrote: “As you mark this milestone, I pray that Almighty God grants you continued good health, renewed strength, and greater wisdom to keep impacting lives and advancing His Kingdom.
“Happy 85th Birthday, Papa Kumuyi. May your light continue to shine brightly.”
