Nigeria winger, Omorinsola Babajide, has won her first League title with Italian Serie A Femminile club, AS Roma, after the Yellow and Reds defeated Genoa Women 2-0 in the top flight match on Saturday 16 May, 2026 in Rome.
The Super Falcons player took to X to celebrate, expressing her gratitude to God and her fans for the support.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion player said, the victory was possible following series of “hardwork, sacrifice and self-belief”. She encouraged her fans to “always dream big & never give up”

“From cage football in Brixton with @afewee_brixton to winning the Serie A Women’s league in Rome ~ growing up I always felt like we weren’t meant to make it out of where I’m from but we break barriers & change the odds regardless & I don’t take this one lightly

“season after season of persistency, hard work , sacrifice, patience and self-belief which has made it all worth it. My 1st league title.

After twenty-two (22) games, AS Roma finished toppers of Serie A Women 2025/26 with fifty-five (55) points, trailed by Inter with forty-four (44) points, while Genoa finished the season at the bottom, 12th spot, with a meagre ten (10) points.
