FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2024: Nigeria 4-0 Ecuador – ‘Convincing and ruthless win’ – Coach Bankole

Head coach of Nigeria’s U17 Women’s Team, Flamingoes, Olowookere Bankole, has described his side’s victory over Ecuador as “convincing and ruthless”.

In the second FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2024 preliminary encounter on Saturday 19 October, 2024, Nigeria walloped Ecuador 4-0 with Shakirat Moshood netting a brace, Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong scoring one each.

Nigeria takes the top spot of Group A after amassing six (6) points from two matches.

Coach Bankole expressed his gratitude to Nigerians across the world, saying, “we are absolutely grateful for the support of Nigerians worldwide”.

In his post-Ecuador comments, Coach Bankole said: “A convincing and ruthless win takes us to the quarter final of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
