Premier League side, Chelsea Football Club, have made known its pre-season match against Italian Serie A side, Juventus, in Hong Kong ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
On Wednesday 5 August, 2026 at the Kai Tak Stadium, Chelsea will face Juventus as part of the Hong Kong Football Festival 2026 (HKFF 2026).
The news of the Blues match against the Bianconeri is coming following the announcement in December that Premier League side’s men’s and women’s teams will be playing games in Sydney, Australia, in July and August.
Adding Hong Kong game to the list of pre-season list “is both a chance for Chelsea supporters in that region to watch our players in action live, and an important step in the squad preparations for the new Premier League season which will start two weekends later”, the Club said via its official website.
This summer’s pre-season match is coming more than ten (10) years Chelsea last played in Hong Kong. That was in a Premier League Asia Cup competition in 2011 when the Blues discomfited local side Kitchee and Aston Villa.
Chelsea and Juventus have recorded some great moements together. The most recent of the six (6) Uefa Champions League meetings, in 2021, ended 4-0 in favour of the English side at Stamford Bridge. Current players, Trevor Chalobah and Reece James were among those that scored.
Both sides will now field right inside the 50,000-seat, state-of-the-art Kai Tak Stadium which opened in 2025.
