Reno Omokri has come out to praise Nigerian veteran actors, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, late Obinna Nwafor, widely known as Saint Obi, and Zack Orji for their outstanding works on which the Nigerian Movie Industry thrives.
His praises are coming as he shared a collage of photos, which is “almost twenty years ago” of himself with the three (3) actors.
Omokri said on X, these actors he described as “Nollywood icons” have set the standard far back and the reason the Nigerian movie industry is “globally recognised and patronised”.
After watching Bob-Manuel in a recent Netflix movie in 2024 titled ‘Hijack ’93’, Omokri said, the Anambra-born actor is “even beyond wine that ages with grace”.
He said, Zack Orji remains “consistently brilliant”.
Reno Omokri posted: “Bob-Manuel Udokwu, the late Obinna Nwafor (AKA Saint Obi), and Zack Orji. This is almost twenty years ago.
“These Nollywood icons set the standard way back and are the reason Nigeria is the only African country with a globally recognised and patronised movie industry. I recently watched Bob-Manuel Udokwu in the 2024 Netflix movie, Hijack ’93, and I must say, he is even beyond wine that ages with grace.
“And Zack Orji’s staying power is enviable. He is still consistently brilliant as an actor to this very day.”
Saint Obi passed at the age of fifty-seven (57) in May, 2023 following a protracted illness.
