Hajj 2026: Governor Radda inaugurate Katsina State Delegation for ‘smooth pilgrimage’

The Katsina State Delegation for the Hajj Exercise 2026 has been inaugurated by Dikko Umaru Radda, Executive Governor of Katsina State.

In his announcement on Monday, the Governor said, he appointed Alhaji Ahmed Usman El-Marzuq as Chairman and Ameerul Hajj.

The move described on X as “important step” by the Governor, reflects his administration’s “commitment to ensuring that intending pilgrims from Katsina State enjoy a smooth, well-coordinated, and successful pilgrimage”.

Hajj, a “sacred obligation” needs “careful planning, dedication, and sincerity”, Radda said; he added, he has charged the delegation to discharge their duties “with integrity, fear of Allah, and a deep sense of responsibility”.

Radda made known, the functions of the Committee will be to “coordinate all arrangements for the exercise, facilitate the successful airlift of pilgrims, ensure their welfare both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia”, as well as, “recommend ways to improve future Hajj operations”.

The Governor further made known, his administration will not waver in its commitment in “prioritizing transparency, efficiency, and the comfort of our pilgrims at every stage of the journey”.

He pleaded with all intending pilgrims to abide by the law, be “cooperative and worthy ambassadors” of the Northwestern State all through the exercise.
