President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made known, he has postponed his trip to Ogun State to travel to Jos to stand with the people of Plateau State following the recent attacks that claimed lives.
The Nigerian Leader said, his trip to the Plateau Capital will be to commiserate with the families whose loved ones were killed in the attack, as well as, to reassert that, those behind these attacks to “spread fear will not prevail”.
Justice must be done, the President assured on X.
President Tinubu announced: “I have postponed my trip to Iperu, Ogun State. My first duty at this moment is to stand with the people of Plateau.
“I will be in Jos to commiserate with families who have lost loved ones and to reaffirm that those who seek to spread fear will not prevail. We will continue to strengthen our security response and ensure that justice is done.”
He then disclosed, he will travel to Lagos to enjoy Good Friday once he is done with activities in the North Central State, and then proceed to Ogun and Bayelsa with engagements aimed at infrastructure, trade.
The President made known: “From Plateau, I will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday, and then continue with scheduled engagements in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa focused on infrastructure, trade, and economic growth.”
He continued: “In moments of grief, we must stand together. In moments of progress, we must keep building.
“The work continues. Nigeria First.”
