Nigerian Afrobeats megastar, David Adedeji Adeleke, professionally known as, Davido, has clarified, he “never asked for full custody'” of his daughter, Imade.
The ‘No Competition’ singer said, he “asked for joint custody”.
Davido’s clarification is coming after noticing people celebrating, saying, “there’s nothing to celebrate”; he added, “nobody won , nobody lost but Imade”.
The record producer made known, he withdrew his ongoing custody case against Sophia Momodu, mother of his daughter, Imade Adeleke, because he is only seeking joint custody.
Davido wrote: “1. I never asked for full custody … I asked for joint custody
“2. Nobody won , nobody lost but Imade … so I don’t know why some pple r celebrating.. there’s nothing to celebrate.
“3 . I’ve decided to drop the case because when I was spanking that lawyer in the court room all .. she would get so frustrated .. because normally I finish school .. I was finishing her .. until she brought out her last card ! MY DECEASED SON ! THATS A NO NO ! Lowest blow!”
The ‘Blow My Mind’ singer said, he is certain Imade will grow up knowing he put up a fight for her, and urged everyone to “move on” from the case.
He further wrote: “4. My daughter will grow up knowing I fought for her .. let’s move on One love !”
