Nigeria to slug it out with Gabon in World Cup 2026 qualifier Play-off in Morocco

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face The Panthers of Gabon in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier Play-off on Thursday 13 November, 2025 at Moulay Hassan Stadium, in the city of Rabat, Morocco at 17:00 (WAT).

Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles gained a spot in the Play-off after a very comfortable 4-0 victory over Benin in the last Group C qualifier, which was played inside the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Nigeria finished second in the Group with seventeen (17) points, one (1) point behind toppers, South Africa.

The winner between Nigeria and Gabon will go on to face the winner between Cameroon and Congo, both will also be fighting to progress in another Play-off.

Both the semi final and final Play-offs will be hosted in Morocco.
