Pilots of American Airlines caught celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk, who was an American conservative political activist, author, and media personality, have been “immediately grounded and removed from service by @AmericanAir “.
This was announced by Secretary Sean Duffy, 20th Secretary of the United States Department of Transportation, serving under the Leadership of President Donald Trump.
Secretary Duffy’s statement is coming as a response to a tweet by American Airlines on the matter involving its pilots reactions to the killing of Kirk.
American Airlines stated via its tweet that, it “condemns violence of any kind”; it said, it has “already initiated action to address this with our team”.
The Airlines tweeted: “American Airlines condemns violence of any kind. Furthermore, hate-related or hostile behavior runs contrary to our purpose, which is to care for people on life’s journey. Any such behavior is unacceptable, and we have already initiated action to address this with our team.”

Secretary Sean Duffy quoted American Airlines’ tweet and commented: “American Airlines pilots who were caught celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk have been immediately grounded and removed from service by @AmericanAir.
“This behavior is disgusting and they should be fired.
“Any company responsible for the safety of the traveling public cannot tolerate that behavior.
“We heal as a country when we send the message that glorifying political violence is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!”
