Bayern Munich survive Augsburg scare, Kane hits 100th game

Reigning Champions, Bayern Munich, managed to emerge victorious in the Bundesliga 2025/26 match against Augsburg on Saturday evening.

English forward, Harry Kane, provided two assists on his 100th appearance for the Bavarians as the German Kings wriggled through a late Augsburg fightback to win 3-2 at the WWK Arena.

Serge Gnabry turned Kane’s assist to the back of the net in the 27th minute, and new signing from Liverpool, Luis Diaz, made it two in the 4th minute of first half additional time.

Former Tottenham Hotspur player, Kane, turned provided again in the 48th minute for Frenchman, Michael Olise, to net the third goal for the visitors.

Augsburg refused to give in and pulled one back in the 53rd minute when Kristijan Jakić scored Robin Fellhauer’s cross for his first league goal in 18 months.

The hosts kept on fighting and were rewarded in the 76th minute when Mert Kömür converted a pass from Jakić and placed a precise shot past Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to lower the loss to a single goal.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern held strong despite a long addiional time, and returned home winners, maintaining their perfect start to the new campaign.

Harry Kane has featured 100 times across different tournaments for Bayern Munich and recorded ninety-one (91) goals, with twenty-six (26) assists.
