The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reacted through its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, to the “fake news” by the Office of the President of Nigeria on the “Special Visa Category” for high-skilled young Nigerians by the Government of Japan.
The Coalition Party expressed its disgust at the Nigerian Presidency’s Press Release “inconsistent with the facts”, and said, “this embarrassment just has to stop”.
Bolaji said, Japan’s denial of the Press Release reveals the desperation from the Tinubu/APC government for “positive headlines”.
The ADC Chief further said, with this current government, “we don’t know what to believe anymore”.
Bolaji Abdullahi posted on X: “At #TICAD9, the APC Federal Government claimed that the Japanese authorities had agreed to issue “special visa categories” to Nigerians.
“This denial by the Japanese authorities shows that the Tinubu/APC government have become so desperate for positive headlines that they would not mind spreading #FakeNews.
“The truth is, with this government, we don’t know what to believe anymore. This embarrassment just has to stop.”
