Lookman scored a first half brace; the forward opened scoring for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side early, in the 10th minute.
The Nigeria international who finished 14th in the voting for the Ballon d’Or, made it two for the hosts in the 31st minute, and substitute Mateo Retegui added the third in the 2nd minute of additional time to seal win for the La Dea.
With this outcome, Napoli still sit atop with 25 points, while Atalanta climb to second with 22 points, both after eleven (11) games each.
