David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom (UK), has hailed Lagos State as “the business and cultural heartland of Nigeria”.

He added, “Lagos is a gateway for UK trade and investment.”
According to Lammy: “It was a pleasure to meet with Lagos State Governor @JideSanwoOlu.
Lagos is the business and cultural heartland of Nigeria and a gateway for UK trade and investment.
The potential for future growth is enormous. I look forward to working with our Nigerian partners to deliver it.”
