Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, newly elected National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presided over his first meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) on Thursday 24 July, 2025.
Yilwatda was “unanimously” elected the National Chairman of the ‘Broom’ Party by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party on Thursday.

He takes over from Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON, after the former Governor of Kano State submitted his resignation on health grounds.
The meeting which held at the Party’s National Secretariat, Abuja, happened following his election and inauguration at the 14th meeting of the APC National Executive Committee (NEC).
