The body of Late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has left London for Nigeria.
Vice President, Kashim Shettima, alongside Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, are accompanying the former Head of State’s body back to the country.
President Tinubu will receive Buhari’s body later today in Katsina State.
Former Special Adviser to the former President, Bashir Ahmad, posted on X: “The body of former President Muhammadu Buhari has departed London for Nigeria. Vice President, Kashim Shettima, is accompanying the body, which will be received later today, in Katsina by President Bola Tinubu ahead of burial in his hometown, Daura, according to Islamic rites.”
After a prolonged illness, Buhari died on Sunday 13 July, 2025 in a clinic in London.
