AFCON 2025 Qualification: Benin 1-1 Nigeria – Osimhen’s header secure Morocco spot for Super Eagles

Striker, Victor Osimhen’s header has secured a spot for Nigeria in the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2025.

Nigeria and Benin finished 1-1 in the AFCON 2025 qualifier on Thursday 14 November, 2024 at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The Cheetahs went in front in the 16th minute through defender Mohamed Tijani via a header, however, the Super Eagles hustled back and levelled through Galatasaray sharpshooter, Osimhen, in the 81st minute, perfectly heading in Moses Simon’s cross.

The outcome takes the Super Eagles straight to Morocco for the AFCON 2025.
