Liverpool to commemorate Jota and Silva with tributes in match against Preston North End

Liverpool has announced, it will commemorate Diogo Jota and Andre Silva with a number of tributes at its match against Preston North End.

Arne Slot’s Reds will take to the pitch for a friendly encounter at Deepdale on Sunday for the first time since the brothers tragically passed in a car accident in Spain.

Ahead of the match which will kick off at 3pm BST, there will be a rendition of the Liverpool Football Club anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and the home club will lay a wreath alongside the away supporters.

Players from both sides will wear black armbands.

Silence will be observed for a minute in memory of Diogo and Andre, and digital tributes will be displayed on the screen and across pitchside LEDs.

Championship club, Preston, have also made a commemorative edition of the matchday programme that will feature written tributes to Diogo and Andre.
