Saudi Professional League club, Al Hilal, manager, Simone Inzaghi, said, his side will prepare really well in the “best way” for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match against Manchester City.
The former Inter head coach said, “we will prepare for the match in the best possible way.”
Inzaghi joined Al Hilal from Italian Serie A club, Inter, after leading the Nerazzurri to second in the Uefa Champions League 2024/25.
Inter lost 0-5 to Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) in the Champions League final in Germany.
The former Lazio striker guided Al Hilal to the round of 16 after finishing second in Group H with five (5) points, behind Spanish La Liga club, Real Madrid, who amassed seven (7) points.
Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, finished as toppers of Group G with nine (9) points, emerging the only side that finished top with perfect record in the Group stage of the tournament.
Inzaghi descibed the match against the Cityzens as “difficult”, saying, the English side remains “one of the best teams in the world”.
Al Hilal will slug it out with Manchester City in the round of 16 match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on Tuesday 1 July, 2025 at 02:00 (WAT) at Camping World Stadium Downtown Orlando, Florida.
According to Al Hilal official X account, in his pre-Manchester City comments, Inzaghi said: “Tomorrow’s match will be difficult against one of the best teams in the world, and we will prepare for it in the best possible way, focusing on our strengths.”
