Brazilian club, Flamengo, amassed “a lot of new fans” after it shocked English Premier League club, Chelsea, with a 3-1 triumph in their second FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Group match at Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As the club gears up for its round of 16 showdown against German Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich, it shared some of its achievements on its official X account.

Bayern Munich shockingly finished second with six (6) points in Group C after suffering a lone goal defeat in the hands of Portuguese side, Benfica, who accumulated seven (7) points, in their last preliminary match.
Flamengo wrote: “We know we gained a lot of new fans in the group stage, so before we start the knockouts, here’s a little more about us

Flamengo finished toppers of Group D with seven (7) points, while, Chelsea finished second with six (6) points.
The Brazilian side will be looking to make a strong statement when they lock horns with Bayern Munich, Champions of Germany, on Sunday 29 June, 2025 at 21:00 (WAT).
