Aircraft Collision At Reagan Airport: At least 40 bodies recovered, plane’s black boxes recovered

The American Airlines Plane black boxes have been recovered from the Potomac River.

On Wednesday evening, an American Airlines passenger plane collided midair with an Army Black Hawk Helicopter at the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan National Airport, Washington DC.

No one survived; the plane had sixty (60) passengers and four (4) crew members on board, while the army helicopter had three (3) soldiers in board.

So far, at least, forty (40) bodies have been recovered from the River, a law enforcement source disclosed to CBS News.

The plane, American Eagle Flight 5342, had taken off from Wichita in Kansas, and was approaching for landing when the unfortunate incident happened.

The helicopter was on a training flight with a crew based at Fort Belvoir in Virginia.
