President Tinubu commission ‘strategic roads designed to open key corridors for trade, agriculture’

President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced, he is commissioning a number of “strategic roads” which he said are “designed to open up key corridors for trade, agriculture, and regional integration”.

The President said, transportation infrastructure is crucial to his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

President Tinubu said: “Transportation infrastructure is central to the success of our Renewed Hope agenda. Today, I am commissioning a number of strategic roads designed to open up key corridors for trade, agriculture, and regional integration.”

This is coming after the President commissioned a complete section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway; after attending the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) hosted in Lagos, Nigeria.

The “strategic roads” commissioned by President Tinubu include, the reinforced concrete access road to the Lekki Deep Sea Port, the Kano–Kongolam Road (Section II: Kano–Kanwar–Danja–Hadejia), the Yakasai–Zalli Road, and several others across Northern Nigeria.

The President made known, he still has other new road projects to flag off, saying, they will be Central in “fast-tracking our broader infrastructure goals.”

President Tinubu said: “These include the reinforced concrete access road to the Lekki Deep Sea Port, the Kano–Kongolam Road (Section II: Kano–Kanwar–Danja–Hadejia), the Yakasai–Zalli Road, and several others across Northern Nigeria. I will also flag off new road projects that are critical to fast-tracking our broader infrastructure goals.”

He said, these road “are investments by your government in Nigeria’s long-term economic competitiveness.”

President Tinubu said: “These roads are more than concrete, steel, and asphalt. They are investments by your government in mobility, jobs, and Nigeria’s long-term economic competitiveness.”

At the ECOWAS 50th anniversary, which had other West African Leaders, as well as, only surviving founding father of the Bloc and former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, in attendance, President Tinubu listed the economic milestones achieved by the Bloc.
