Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has made known his “vision” for children in the South-South State.
Fubara, who is currently under a six-month suspension, said, “Our vision is for Rivers children to grow, thrive and succeed in all their endeavours.”
He made the statement on Children’s Day 2025 today, Tuesday 27 May, 2025.
Fubara said, “children are the essence of our future”, adding, “we remain committed to giving them a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment”.
Defending the suspension of Governor Fubara, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said, “there had not been a government since Fubara destroyed the State legislature.”
However, Fubara responded, “there was no time I held any meeting with militants or any criminal group to destabilise the State.”
In his Children’s Day message, Governor Fubara (X/@SimFubaraKSC) wrote: “Children are the essence of our future.
“As such, we remain committed to giving them a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment. Our vision is for Rivers children to grow, thrive and succeed in all their endeavours.
“Happy Children’s Day!”
