President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, said, “African leaders and citizens are seeking more than just aid”, adding, “they seek investment”.

The US President made the remark in Angola where he said, “we will install clean energy infrastructure to power hundreds of thousands of homes and expand high-speed Internet for millions.”
According to President Biden: “The Lobito Trans-Africa Corridor represents the right way to invest in partnership with countries and people.
As a part of this project, in Angola, we will install clean energy infrastructure to power hundreds of thousands of homes and expand high-speed Internet for millions.
“The United States understands how we invest in Africa is as important as how much we invest.
We seek a better way: transparent, high-standard, open-access investments that protect workers and the rule of law and the environment.
It can be done and will be done.”
Biden continued: “African leaders and citizens are seeking more than just aid.
They seek investment.
We understand that and that is why we are expanding our relationships across Africa – moving from patrons to partners to help bridge the infrastructure gap.”
