Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, has expressed deep sadness after hearing of the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis.
The UK PM said, “His tireless efforts to promote a world that is fairer for all will leave a lasting legacy.”
Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of the Vatican City State, passed at the age of eighty-eight (88) on Easter Monday, 21 April, 2025.
PM wrote: “Deeply saddened to hear of the death of His Holiness Pope Francis. His tireless efforts to promote a world that is fairer for all will leave a lasting legacy. On behalf of the people of the United Kingdom, I share my sincerest condolences to the whole Catholic Church.”
