@KashimSM, has stated that Nigeria cannot aspire to meaningful national economic development without addressing the power sector crisis and ensuring that Nigerians have access to electricity and other affordable energy sources.

“He urged leaders across the country to rise above differences, confront the power sector crisis, and contribute to the transformation of Nigeria into an industrialized nation.


The Vice President made this statement on Thursday while inaugurating the National Economic Council (NEC) Ad Hoc Committee on National Electrification and the NEC Ad Hoc Committee on Polio Eradication at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.


“While speaking at the inauguration of the ad hoc committee on National Electrification, Senator @KashimSM referenced countries facing similar challenges of energy insufficiency, such as Indonesia, India, South Africa, and Uganda, noting that they are already part of the league at the forefront of the post-industrial revolution.”
