Following the collapse of a seven-storey building in Lekki, Lagos, death toll has increased to six.

The structure still under construction caved in on Sunday, with two deaths recorded and several others trapped.
Four more bodies were recovered on Monday, 5 September from the wreckage of the building, summing up to six deaths.
Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed that four more bodies were recovered from the building wreckage on Monday.
He further disclosed that the six deaths were all male.
According to Oke-Osanyintolu, rescue works are still ongoing at the site of the unfortunate incident.
Lagos Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, has resigned on Monday due to the tragic incident and his resignation has been accepted by the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
