Senegal forward Sadio Mane, was pulled out of the Bundesliga game between his side, Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen, with an injury, just 13 days before his country are due to play their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opener.

With Julian Nagelsmann’s side in front 2-1, the 30-year old Senegal international was taken out of action after 20 minutes and down the tunnel he headed.
Senegal will lock horns with the Netherlands on 21 November, one day after the World Football tournament kicks off in Qatar.
In the absence of the Senegalese, Bayern Munich ended the first 45 minutes leading 4-1, and subsequently won the encounter 6-1.
Goalscorers in the German top flight match between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen include: Jamal Musiala (6′), Serge Gnabry (22′, 28′, 82′), Leon Goretzka (26′) and Mathys Tel (84′). Anthony Jung scored Werder Bremen’s only goal in the 10th minute.
