Twitter cyber security chief Lea Kissner resigns amid mass layoffs, policy changes

Since the arrival of Elon Musk, Twitter has seen mass layoffs coupled with series of product and policy changes.

Tesla CEO, Musk, also sacked top executives including CEO Parag Agrawal and announced large-scale layoffs that reduced Twitter’s workforce in half.

Now, another top official of Twitter has tweeted about leaving the company on the micro-blogging platform.

Lea Kissner, Twitter’s Information Security Chief, shared a tweet to confirm resignation from the company. In 2021, Kissner joined the Twitter family as Head of Privacy Engineering, and was promoted earlier this year to the Chief Information Security Officer.

Elon Musk made an announcement that the company will put an end to its permanent remote work policy as well as asked the employees to get ready for a “dire” economy. He also tweeted that, to get a twitter blue badge, only $8 will be paid henceforth per month, instead of $20 per month.

The new Twitter Boss also mentioned that the platform needs to generate significant revenue to be able to pull through the economic downturn.
