Nottingham Forest 0-1 Arsenal: Madueke scores late to help Gunners win tough contest

England winger, Chukwunonso ‘Noni’ Madueke, netted the only goal of the game to help Arsenal cart home a slim victory in the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Sunday 18 October, 2026 at City Ground in Nottinghamshire.

The goal from the former Chelsea player broke the Tricky Trees’ resolve to earn Mikel Arteta’s Gunners their sixth Premier League triumph of the season.

The showdown looked like it would end draw for the Gunners for the first time in the season as Arsenal struggled to breakthrough the rock hard defense of the home side.

Both sides were unable to record a shot on target all through the first 45 minutes, but, in the 80th minute, Declan Rice provided for Madueke, Eberechi Eze’s replacement, who made sure to convert to hand the Gunners the lead.

Madueke’s goal was enough for the Gunners as they returned to London with maximum points to prepare for their next contest against Bayern Munich.

The Tricky Trees suffered in the contest due to poor finishing as their effort towards levelling resulted to nothing. Nottingham Forest are still searching for their first home victory of the season.

With this outcome, Arsenal are second in the standings with eighteen (18) points, trailing toppers, Manchester City, by three (3) points, while, Nottingham Forest are 18th with five (5) points, both after seven (7) games.
