Championship Club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, have completed the re-signing of striker, Raul Jimenez, from Premier League Club, Fulham.
The deal brings back the legendary striker to the Molineux.
Following the expiration of his contract with the Cottagers, Jimenez returns to Wolves after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with an option for an additional 12 months, having already cemented his position among the best strikers to represent the Old Gold in history, and the greatest in the club’s Premier League era.
In his first spell with Wolves between 2018 and 2023, the Mexican netted fifty-seven (57) goals in 166 appearances, helping revamp Wolves from a newly-promoted outfit into one of English football’s most dreaded teams.
Jimenez was signed initially from Portuguese side, Benfica, on loan following promotion to the Premier League; he speedily emerged the focal point of Coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s thrilling side.
In his debut season in England, his goals helped Wolves clinch a seventh-place finish in the English top tier football system. In 2019/20, an even more stunning campaign followed.
According to the Club’s official website, Nathan Shi, Executive Chairman, said: “Being able to bring Raul back to Wolves is a truly special moment for everyone connected with this football club.
“Raul is not only one of the finest strikers to ever pull on our gold and black shirt, but he is a player who embodies everything that define Wolves.
“We are delighted to welcome him back home to Molineux.”
Manager Rob Edwards said: “We’re delighted that Raul’s here and I know everyone will be very excited.
“This is a signing because we really believe that he’s the right man to be able to help us achieve our aims, so we’re delighted to have him in.”
At Fulham, Jimenez recorded “115” appearances and found the back of the net “31” times.
Via a statement on its official website, Fulham announced: “Raúl Jiménez will leave Fulham after his contract expires on 30 June 2026 and join Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“He departs with a record of 31 goals and six assists in his 115 appearances, a fine record for a striker who recently turned 35.
“We thank Raúl for his brilliant service to the Club, and wish him all the very best with his return to Wolves, and at this summer’s World Cup in his homeland.”
