The Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in Office as President of Nigeria.
The announcement was made by Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State on Friday 8 May, 2026.
Uzodimma said, the endorsement is coming following the “impactful” economic reforms of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Governor said: “The endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR by the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) for a second term in office as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
“was born out of the impactful economic reforms of his #RenewedHope administration, which have continued to reposition our nation for sustainable growth and national development.”
The endorsement of President Tinubu held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on Thursday 7 May, 2026 when the President, represented by Kashim Shettima, Vice President, submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 Presidential Election.
Uzodimma said, after the submission of form, it became “evident that the administration’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria remains steadfast and widely embraced”.
The Governor said, the President will continue to receive all the support because he has “delivered greatly in the transformation of our dear nation across critical sectors, including infrastructure, economic revitalization, security, and human capital development”.
