Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder, Joe Aribo, alongside nine (9) other Men’s first team players will leave Leicester City at the expiration of their contracts this summer.
Among the players set to depart the Club is captain Ricardo Pereira, who recorded 220 appearances for the Foxes in eight (8) seasons since moving to the King Power Stadium from Portuguese top flight club, FC Porto, in the summer of 2018.
Ricardo was a member of the sqaud that clinched the 2021 Emirates FA Cup and the FA Community Shield later that same year; and as a defender, he found the back of the net fifteen (15) times. He won the Championship 2023/24.
Players who will leave the Foxes alongside Pereira include, forwards Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew; defender Jamaal Lascelles and Academy product Wanya Marçal, will also leave the Club when their deals expire this summer.
Additionally, players who will exit the Club are, Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Aribo, Dujuan Richards and Divine Mukasa. They are all loanees as their loan deals will come to an end at the end of the season and will all return to their parent clubs.
The contract of Goalkeeper Asmir Begović is due to expire this summer, however, the goalie remains in talks with the Foxes on the possibility of extending his contract at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City have been relegated from the Championship to League One, England’s third tier football, after finishing 23rd out of 24 in the Championship 2025/26.
